Background

We are proud to be associated with one of India’s largest Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)-based Compressed Biogas (CBG) facilities in Indore. The project was initiated to address the improper disposal of organic waste, which was causing significant environmental pollution and health hazards. Indore generates substantial organic waste daily from households, restaurants, and other establishments. Unfortunately, much of this waste was being discarded in open dumps or landfills, leading to foul Odors, air pollution, and groundwater contamination. Additionally, the potential for utilizing this waste as a resource for energy production was largely untapped.

Solution

CleanEdge Resources supplied, erected, fabricated, tested, and commissioned MSEP Anaerobic Digesters as part of this transformative project. The facility exemplifies modern waste management and energy production, showcasing how integrated solutions can sustainably address urban challenges. This initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goals 7, 9, 11, 12, and 13.

By converting organic waste into valuable biogas, the Indore Bio-CNG facility not only mitigates environmental issues but also contributes to clean energy production, enhancing both community health and sustainability. This project serves as a model for similar initiatives in urban areas facing waste management challenges.
